100 pound Bat Girl accused of breaking Fire Truck
No, it's not a joke
Just when we thought things couldn't get any sillier.
She's a wee thing, Paulette MacDonald aka Bat Girl. Apparently size doesn't matter when it comes to 'breaking' the law, or firetrucks.
On April 25th, Parental Alienation Awareness Day, she climbed the Cookstown Outlet Mall water tower to hang a banner proclaiming LIFE
( Love is for Everyone ).
Completely unbeknownst to mall security and passersby, the woman held her position for some 7 hours before police and emergency personnel were called to the scene by a mall security guard to retrieve the tiny heroine.
"When the fireman asked me to come down the ladder of the firetruck, I didn't want to. I felt much safer getting back down the way I came up," says Bat Girl.
Apparently superheros ARE worth their weight in gold because the firetruck used to remove Ms. MacDonald broke down on the way back to the station and the court is asking her to pay a bill for $36,921.90 in repairs and restitution.
"In my eyes, Ms MacDonald should receive thanks for highlighting flaws in the fire department's equipment BEFORE it was actually needed in an emergency," says Kris Titus, National Coordinator of F4J Fathers 4 Justice Canada, "this might have more to do with the competence of their maintenance system than our featherweight superhero. We're obviously glad that she was safe during the rescue, considering the circumstances."
One has to wonder how high the bill was for other recent protests such as those involving the Tibetan and Tamil communities.
"I'm a mother, a second wife and a grandmother for goodness sake, how wrong can it be for me to act on behalf of children," says Ms MacDonald.
Whatever the personal costs, F4J Fathers 4 Justice Canada will continue to tirelessly promote every child's right to be raised by both parents.
Next court date: Thursday, July 23, 2009
Time: 9:30am
Location: Bradford Court House
57 Holland Street East Bradford West Gwillimbury

For Immediate Release May 4, 2009
Tyranny
The laws with respect to protesting and freedom of expression are being applied differently.
While Toronto and Ottawa streets are occupied by a visible minority group who is rowdy, noisy, disturbing the peace and quiet of neighborhoods, disrupting traffic, blocking emergency vehicles, praising terrorists, showing terrorist flags, spread over several days or weeks they receive the support of the police services,
Meanwhile, F4J Fathers 4 Justice members have faced the tyranny, extremely harsh and severe treatment, of the police in Ontario.
Metro Toronto Police Chief Bill Blair, in the May 1, 2009 edition of the Globe & Mail in reference to the Tamil protests: "as citizens of the city and the country, the protesters had the right to demonstrate safely." He said once the crowd had thinned by yesterday morning, officers were able to clear the roadway without using force, which would have put both officers and protesters at risk."A lot of people were putting up with a lot of noise, a little bit of disruption and some inconvenience and we're mindful of that. But we're trying to strike a balance here too," Mr. Blair told reporters at police headquarters yesterday morning. "It was an event that was important to that community. And we were there with them," he said"
Does Chief Blair mean the reason they weren't dispersed and arrested the same way Fathers 4 Justice members are is because the police support the Tamil protests? That is one meaning of the term "we were there with them"
Lets take the recent example of Bat Girl who, on April 25, 2009 peacefully occupied the Cookstown Outlet Mall water tower. Bat Girl is a mom and grandmother protesting abuse of children on Parental Alienation Awareness Day. The idea is to help create awareness of the abusive conduct perpetrated on children. For climbing the tower, occupying it for several hours unbeknown to anyone, hanging a banner and getting cold she was arrested and charged with mischief.
Does that sound like balance?
On August 8/08 the ETF was dispatched to deal with two dads occupying the roof of Jack Layton's constituency office. The two hung a banner from the roof in a clearly identified political protest. Their actions interfered with no one.
Chief Blair's response to two dad's dressed as comic book superheroes on a roof and one dad on the ground providing communication was to use flash grenades and send one of them for psychological assessments, keeping them in custody for days with strict and costly bail conditions.
Imagine needing the most highly trained police unit in the Metro Police arsenal to tackle one unarmed father on a two story rooftop. Does the term "over reaction" come to mind?
The total time of protest was 12 hours. The 3 participants are still before the courts with serious charges and may get criminal records for wanting to help children and parents suffering after separation or divorce. On August 27, 2008, The Amazing Ontario Spiderman - Darcy Nogueira - Scaled a 200 foot tower crane at Bayview Avenue in Toronto Ontario. National Coordinator of F4J Fathers 4 Justice Canada, Kris Titus, was on scene as media and ground support.
Nogueira and Kristin Titus, described as being polite and cooperative, have each been charged with conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, common nuisance, mischief, mischief interference with property and break and enter for the 45 minute political action in support of a private member motion for equal parenting, a concept supported by 80% of Canadians.
Look at the difference in handling peaceful protest by F4J Fathers 4 Justice Canada members compared to the Tamil protests in Ottawa and Toronto that have gone on for weeks disrupting the lives of many with no charges laid in Ottawa and some in Toronto only after the protestors rushed barricades.
As 6 F4J activists prepare for trial in Ontario they ask why there are different standards? Does it mean if you are minority you get to dictate the game plan to the police and affected citizens? If you are a visible minority do you get special privileges because of political correctness?
"It's like we've been saying all along," says Titus, "who represents the majority in this country, and at what personal cost?" " No totalitarians, no wars, no fears, famines or perils of any kind can really break a man's spirit until he breaks it himself by surrendering. Tyranny has many dread powers, but not the power to rule the spirit." - Edgar Sheffield Brightman

To The Editor: Perhaps when the public becomes fully aware of children being psychologically abused ( primarily ) by custodial parents, and that there are no criminal penalties for inflicting this abuse, maybe when more people understand how serious a problem it is, it won't seem necessary for a parent to climb a water tower to announce it to anyone that will pay attention. We need Family Law Judges to put these child abusing parents in jail and for a very long period of time. Joe Goldberg Founder of The Canadian Symposium For Parental Alienation Syndrome www.cspas.ca
These heros deserve your support!
F4J Fathers 4 Justice Canada is proud to be part of an International movement.
Please also support superheroes in other countries who have put their lives and their liberty on the line to raise awareness for the need for family law reform.

Geoff Hibbert - M25 Batman UK
Letter from Jail
The Global Battle for equal rights.
F4J Fathers 4 Justice activists fighting for the rights of children to both parents face prison in the UK, Canada and the U.S.A.
Geoff Hibert, aka M25 Batman, isn't the first and likely won't be the last superhero who has spent time in jail for this worthy and noble goal, but his may be the harshest sentence to date after being convicted by a Jury after police halted traffic on the M25 highway for many hours, he faces the possibility of a 7 year sentence.
"This unjustice at its best. You're kidding yourselves if you think F4J activists will crumble under these ever harsher punishments," says Kris Titus, National Coordinator for the Canadian arm of the International group, "if anything we dig in our heels any further. This is a human rights issue and it's about time it was addressed as one. We stand behind our members in the UK and in the US as well as our own activists facing imprisonment."
Hibbert has begun a hunger strike as he awaits sentencing and his lawyers attempt an appeal.
The news of his conviction has sent tidal waves throughout England and the International Fathers 4 Justice movement
Got your letter today 23/6/09 Thank you very much
Glad to see you and others are doing what you can for me
The court and judge & jury was totally wrong to send me or any father to prison Because we fight for the right to see our children Its mothers that should be put in prison not the fathers,
Please make sure that the support is there for me and other fathers
I am ok. And are going for bail this week I hope I get it will have to wait and see.
My new girlfriend is very upset over all this you can call her *********** She will also let you know what is going on with the case And the injustice that has been done to me and f4j The judge said a lot of things about f4j and fathers
The jury of which some did not speak English at all, one of which could not even read the oath out in court,
Ron Reid is a very long and good friend and will talk to you and anyone we know all of my case and so does Marie my girlfriend
Have heard about the newspapers but have been unable to get my hands on any yet
Have not eaten anything from Thursday when I went down to cells but I am drinking tea that’s something
This shows that there is no justice for fathers
By the way the judge acted in this case,
They will not show me the you tube website, but they are trying to help me as much as they can and giving me there support
What happened with the tower protest in oxford the day I was sent down
I will keep my head up high for our children and for fathers of the injustice that the courts are doing to our children and for the fathers who care
Thanks for everything and everyone for there help and there support
Speak to you soon my friend
Geoff Hibbert

Fathers 4 Justice USA Spiderman safely descends from crane after learning Superman is released and okay.
International Media Release
Columbus, OH
For Immediate Release –September 30, 2008 From: Fathers for Justice National Media Representative, Christine Smith After an incredible 80 hours atop a 125' crane at Ohio State University, Spiderman and everyday superhero Donald Tenn is coming down safe and sound to fight another day.
" Swat was on their way up if he didn't come down. We now know that Paul Fisher is being released and are sending a support team to him," says John Fowler, National Coordinator for F4J USA, "We're very happy to see this action come to a very successful and peaceful conclusion."
"Arnold Schwarzenegger used to be a hero of mine," says Fowler, "Now Donald Tenn and Paul Fisher are my heroes"
That about sums up Donald Tenn, F4J USA Board Director from California and Paul Fisher, aka Superman.
Tenn was able to conduct a crane top media interview with NBC Channel 4 and a large radio station in his home town of Sacramento.
Tenn's Sacramento phone rings off the hook at all hours of the day. Friends say he always makes time to listen to parents trying to avoid or recover from the devastation of losing contact with their children. When he isn't grieving for his own little girl Madison, he says, his heart aches for the thousands of other parents he knows who are experiencing the same thing.
When asked if he wants to keep Madison away from her mother when this is resolved, he says, "No. I've always wanted equal custody, equal parenting and equal responsibility, for each of us." Asked if his case was unique he replied, "I've traveled the country talking to other parents. And what I hear all the time, from mothers and fathers, is that they want equal parental rights, equal physical and legal custody."
Paul Fisher, aka Superman agreed to come down last night under the exclusive watch of NBC news, who broke the story Sunday, and a safety crew from the construction site and campus security.
Troops were beginning to rally at the base of the crane in support of their superhero.
"We're not leaving without Paul and Don," one activist was quoted as saying from the scene.
"Both of these men are now admired and revered worldwide for their self-sacrifice for a cause that is greater than anyone of us, and sadly affects us all. This action by Fathers 4 Justice USA may very well spark a Global Fathers 4 Justice response," says Kris Titus, National Coordinator for Fathers 4 Justice Canada, "there are things we are very proud to share with the U.S., unfortunately parental inequality that harms children is one that noone should be proud of."
Early on Monday, both Governor Strickland of Ohio and Governor Schwarzenegger were presented pleas from the dads. They respectfully requested a public investigation into the family court system. At this time, a satisfactory response has 'not' been received by Fathers 4 Justice USA
" Why is it so difficult for an elected representative to make a simple statement stating our family law system may be broken, and we must find out how to fix it. This is the largest social justice issue of our time," says Fowler. "Governor Strickland likes to play Keno, well, he needs to stop gambling with the lives of our children and both Governor's must address this issue. The gloves are off"
This is just the beginning of an everyday superhero assault in the U.S.
